Ultrasound

An ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to capture live images from inside of the patient’s body without needing to make an incision or expose them to radiation. An ultrasound can provide a view of the liver, gallbladder, stomach wall, intestinal tract, kidneys, spleen, bladder, lymph nodes, uterus, prostate, adrenal glands, and heart. It can also be helpful to guide the doctor’s hands during biopsy procedures and urine collection.
