Katie Hajek originally started at the AMCoE in December of 2017 as a student shadower, where she would sometimes help with small tasks around the clinic, but mostly wanted to learn about veterinary medicine. Katie is here part time every other weekend. After finishing her second semester of her freshman year in college, she was hired as a veterinary assistant. Currently, she is attending Kent State University, and majoring in Zoology with hopes of attending Ohio State vet school, Michigan State vet school, University of Missouri vet school, or Iowa State vet school. When Katie is not at the clinic, she enjoys walking her Labrador Retriever, Koda, learning more about veterinary care for different species of animals and volunteering.
